The Dragon Boat Festival, also called the Duanwu Festival, is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month according to the Chinese calendar. This festival is to commemorate the death of QU Yuan, an upright and honest poet and statesman who is said to have committed suicide by drowning himself in a river.
There are many different customs to celebrate this traditional festival in different area,but most common activity is eating zongzi: People use bamboo leaves,sticky rice and different filling to make delicious zongzi,then eat them with families during Dragon Boat Festival.
In order to let everyone feel the lively atmosphere of the Dragon Boat Festival in advance,Refone Auto Power held a interesting activity- Making Zongzi!
Last Thursday afternoon, Refone families left Turbo work temporarily , gathered in dining hall,made zongzi in different shapes,colleagues talked some funny things they experienced in Dragon Boat Festival,the Refone dining hall filled with laughters,we did really enjoy this special activity.
Next Morning,Refone dining hall cooked all the zongzi we made,and give everyone two pcs. So we ate our zongzi made by ourselves,sure these are really delicious! And all of us feel that Refone Dragon boat Festival has been coming!
